Other Children Who Share My Life
Jose and Kelly Castro
Married May 23, 2007 Â Â Â Â – Â Â Â Â Children: Â Jaden, Anaiya, and Tristen
Kelly came into my life when she was a child. She was attending Fairmont Elementary School in Sanger when she befriended my daughter, Melissa and she joined our lives. Melissa had a lot of friends, but Kelly was different from the other friends she had. All her other friends lived with their parents but Kelly was living with her elderly grandparents, Violet and Charles Miller. They were really sweet people and I totally loved them, but they were elderly and so Kelly started hanging out with us, going places and with us, and became a part of my family too. Kelly has a mother too that has been very gracious to share Kelly with me. At that time Kelly had never met her father or his family. She met them when she was in high school and a new world opened up for her with people who she grew to love and be apart of their lives too. However, Kelly’s childhood belong to me and I loved having her apart of our family. She just became my daughter. She was more like Kevin than Melissa, and to this day Melissa and her fight like typical siblings would, but they love like siblings do too. When I wanted to buy a gift for Kevin, I would get Kelly’s advice. When I wanted to buy a gift for Kelly, I would get Kevin’s advice. They thought on the same wave length for the most part. Melissa and Kelly have remained close throughout these years. Kelly went into the Marine Corp when she graduated from high school and Melissa went to college. Today they live about an hours drive from each other and still spend a lot of time together.
Kelly met her husband while stationed in Okinawa, Japan where they both were station in the Marine Corp. They were married when they came back and was stationed at Camp Pendleton Marine Base near San Diego, California. Their three children were born while stationed there.
